NRA SPONSORS LEGISLATION TO REPEAL AB962!

Earlier this year, Assemblyman Curt Hagman introduced Assembly Bill 373 related to the sales of handguns. AB373 was sponsored by the National Rifle Association in order to streamline the ability for law-abiding Californians to purchase handguns.

Now that Governor Schwarzenegger has signed AB962 into law, people are already becoming aware of the damage that it will do to California and it's citizens. Therefore, the NRA and Assemblyman Hagman have agreed to amend AB373 into legislation that would repeal AB962. The newly amended AB373 will be heard in the State Legislature in January of 2010 so we must be ready for these hearings.

All of California's firearms owners, dealers, shooters, hunters, collectors, clubs/organizations, and ammunition vendors, should be prepared to join in this effort to repeal AB962. This will not be an easy fight, but it is possible to win if we all stick together and act in an organized manner.

We, the NRA, will have specific activities that everyone can participate in during this important effort. Please stand-by and be prepared to help. There is no good reason not to be part of the team.

The great pay-back has begun, and it's going to be ugly.

The gun grabbers in Congress are paying back the anti-gun extremists who put them and Barack Obama in office.

Hi, this is Congressman Paul Broun from Georgia. I wish I had better news, but you and I are facing an assault on our gun rights like we’ve never seen before.

You see, H.R. 45 is Barack Obama’s gun control package, and it includes the most vile anti-gun measures he’s supported over the years.

It's only the first step...

...but it's a HUGE step.

H.R. 45 establishes a NATIONAL gun registry database of every gun and its owner -- for the whole county! Your private information and every gun you own would be in the system.

But that’s only if you succeed in buying a gun in the first place!

And since H.R. 45 dramatically increases requirements for firearms purchases far beyond those ever proposed, you just might find youself incapable of buying a firearm once this bill takes effect.

And it gets worse too.

The National Association for Gun Rights has a survey ready for you to complete, but I want you to understand just how dangerous this bill is before I give you the link. Please bear with me for a moment.

You see, H.R. 45 would establish a national gun registry database which would:

Increase requirements for firearms purchases, far beyond those ever proposed.

Create a national firearms registry overseen by the Federal Government.

Invoke Draconian penalties for bookkeeping errors related to the Federal Firearms Database.
It gets worse though.

Sarah Brady and her allies in Congress want to force you to take a written exam to prove that you are "fit" to exercise your Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

I'm outraged by this, and I know you are too.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you that gun registration has historically laid the groundwork for total firearm confiscation. Citizen disarmament is the watchword of tyrants everywhere.

In fact, the most brutal dictators of the last century were famous for their gun registration and confiscation schemes.

But H.R. 45, Obama's National Gun Registry and Citizen Disarmament Act, is more than just a forced registration of all firearms in America.

The bill also makes it increasingly difficult to buy a gun in the first place.

Taken right out of Sarah Brady's Christmas wish list, H.R. 45 includes a laundry list of new restrictions on firearms purchases.

In addition to the outrageous national gun registration requirement, H.R. 45 also requires you to:

Pass a written examination to purchase a firearm.

Release your medical records -- including confidential mental health records -- to the government to get your "fitness" to own a firearm approved.

Observe a two-day waiting period before all firearms purchases.

Pay a gun tax of $25 or more on all firearm purchases.
Moreover, H.R. 45 bans all private firearms sales and maximizes penalties for minor clerical errors in dealing with the national gun registry.

The list goes on and on. It's enough to turn your stomach.

I know I don't have to tell you, but these restrictions make a mockery of the Constitution. "The Right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" might as well say: "You have no rights."

If a two-day waiting period, a written exam and a gun tax aren't infringing our rights, I don't know what is!

Even the Supreme Court’s recent Heller decision guaranteeing an individual’s right to own a firearm doesn’t hamper Barack Obama’s agenda one bit.

In fact, it emboldens gun grabbers to pass legislation taxing ammunition, increasing registration requirements, and drastically limiting when, how and where you can use your firearm.

That’s why I’ve decided to stand with the National Association for Gun Rights fight back against this radical scheme. They're fully committed to stopping the efforts of the gun grabbers, but they need the help of grassroots gun owners like you.

With liberals calling the shots in Washington, all supporters of the Second Amendment must join together, draw a line in the sand, and fight this battle to the end.

We must make this gun-grab expensive and politically painful for the enemies of freedom. If we do, they'll flinch ... and LOSE.

Obama has gotten a little tired of the "Healthy Debate" about his Hostile Healthcare Takeover so, pull pin on smoke grenade and chuck to create a buffer him and his radical Ideals and the Common Folk (AKA Taxpayer pool). That smoke grenade comes in the form of an investigation into alleged abuse of terror detainees at the hands of the CIA.

The quiet masses have come alive. The "common folk" (code word for, Tax payer) are all up in arms, they are afraid that there will be tanks in the streets, death squads and Grandma and Grandpa are going to be carted off and disposed of.

Yes all of us common folk are all upset, we have all recently become members of Hate Groups and wear swastikas and or, wear white pointed masks. (According to top Democrats)

So what does Obama do? He has the White House send out unsolicited propaganda emails and then he denounces the emphasis on health care protests. (Hmm kinda like the Tea Party's?)

Seems like Obama has a default mode that he goes into every time the Heat gets turned up, every time people that are very busy Working, Raising a Family, Paying Taxes, get so mad that they start to get out and show just how mad they actually are.

His (Obama's) default mode is, condescension. He just brushes us all off his shoulder like lint. He thinks that if he just ignores all of us "Racist Glenn Beck Followers", his troubles will just go away.

He then can go back into his delusional state where, piling failed idea after failed idea on top of each other will form a solution, Tax paying Responsible American public be Damned.

At first glance, I wanted to see this movie, but when a celebutard or some director that thinks they know more than us Peons (taking cues from Obama), goes out of the way to insult a huge portion of a potential paying audience I will not be part of that or give my money to these people.

Truth be told, I had very low hopes that this movie would be even entertaining. After all Hollywood has put out a string of big budget blowout movies that essentially SUCK AIR.

Sure they make the millions the first weekend but the films are empty shells that mean nothing and do nothing and in the long run will be long forgotten. I have a very strong feeling that GI JOE will fall right in line with all the rest of the muddy mediocre garbage that has been coming out of Hollywood, with the exception of Star Trek.

I can almost guarantee that this movie is laced with political underpinnings and one world, global community BullS**t.

I have not posted much lately. It is summer after all. The whole nice hot weather thing, BBQ-ing, rubbing steaks with SmokeHouse Rub, adoring vintage cars, etc...

There has almost been too much news to even comment on. The new Administration is throwing so much S*** at the wall to see if it will stick, I am getting tired of dodgeing. Anyway, hope your summer is moving along safe and sound.

We need to clean up our gender and start asserting ourselves again. A successful America needs two strong genders not one holding power over the other.

Obituary:

The All-American male, after years of verbal and psychological abuse, finally succumbed to the many injuries inflicted upon it by the politically correct mainstream media, Oprah and Hollywood. There will be no funeral and in lieu of flowers it is requested that any contributions be sent to the NRA and NASCAR.

Well, it was a good run but all things must come to an end.

Many men have become weak and slovenly and have no manners. Their courage and manhood seems to emulate from a beer bottle and not from their strength of character. Go to any bar during a major sporting event and you will see it on full display. Lots of tough talk fueled by liquid courage but in reality they are "all hat and no cattle."

In many cases men have regressed and have adopted the clothing and habits of their children's baggy shorts, hands in their pockets, a ball cap on backwards and a T-shirt with a witty saying such as "Beer Belly Under Construction." Think I'm kidding? The next time you go to an airport take a good hard look. It's getting so you can't tell the kids from the parents.

How did this happen?

Hollywood has had a big hand in it. They shape modern culture with their constant presence and their ability to use the media to deliver their version of what a man should be.

Take the simple sitcom. We went from the strong father figure in "Father Knows Best" in the '50s to Mike Brady in "The Brady Bunch" in the 70s. And it went straight downhill from there.

Today on shows like "According to Jim" the father is typically portrayed as a dumb fat sports loving overeating slob in a dead end job who responds to adult situations like a little boy. And he usually has a smart, pretty wife who "parents" her adolescent husband just like her other kids.

They usually have 2-3 kids. A young teenage girl with an attitude who dresses like a skank, an obnoxious, wise-ass son who is usually smarter than his Dad and sometimes a precocious 5-year-old boy or girl who just says the darndest things, most of which is highly inappropriate for a child their age but no matter, it sounds cute.

Dad always forgets his wife's birthday or some other special occasion and Mom wears the pants in the family. Men are not heroes to their kids, just weak bumblers.

In TV dramas women are now the hard-bitten, foul mouthed detectives and the men clueless dopes.

We brought much of this on ourselves but some was beyond our control.

As the women's movement gained steam in the '70s and roles were changing we didn't adjust. And over the years as women progressed and took on larger roles in the highest levels of business, politics and government, many men seem to have retreated to their inner adolescent unable to cope with the new reality. David Letterman's locker room humor at the expense of Sarah Palin is a perfect example of this --a middle aged man desperately trying to stay relevant and hip, ably supported by sophomoric writers who are even more juvenile.

This is not an indictment of all men. But we need to clean up our gender and start asserting ourselves again. Boys are falling behind every day. More women than men are attending college than ever before. But a successful America needs two strong genders not one holding power over the other.

We need to teach young boys what it means to be a man and what the brotherhood of men expects of him. That one's masculinity is not to be found in the bottom of a can. To stand up for your beliefs and being willing to defend them. Sitting up straight and not slouching through life mumbling instead of speaking clearly. Looking someone in the eye and telling the truth. Respect for elders. Not excusing bad behavior with the "boys will be boys" nonsense. And yes, teaching respect for women.

We need to start building real men from the very beginning. And that means fathers need to be fathers and not friends and buddies. My dad will be 91 in August and he is still my dad. I don't think we will ever be friends nor should we be, because that is not the relationship we have. I still seek his counsel and advice because he has the wisdom and experience that I don't. Every time I talk to him I learn something new about our relationship and about myself.

Will boys resist this reassertion of the traditional father-son relationship? They probably will but that's a good sign. Because that means that fathers will have put their foot down and become fathers again and not enablers of bad behavior.

Some day they will thank you.

John Wayne once gave this advice to his son and I think every father in America should impart this to their sons.

"Never think anyone is better than you, but never assume you're superior to anyone else. Try to be decent to everyone, until they give you reason not to." -- That's what a real man is.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools LLC, in support with The American Knife and Tool Institute (AKTI) opposes U.S. Customs' attempt to classify assisted-opening knives and all one-hand-opening knives as switchblades.

U.S. Customs proposes to bypass Congress and expand the switchblade definition to include all knives that open with one hand. These include multi-tools, traditional pocket knives, one-hand openers, as well as assisted-openers.

Statistics to consider about the knife industry and the possible effects of this ruling:

* U.S. Sporting Knife Industry has a $5.9 Billion Economic Impact on U.S. Economy
* 3,881 direct U.S. Employees at 61 Companies
* 35.6 Million Households Own Pocket Knives; 24.8 Million Own Hunting Knives
* Assisted-opening and one-hand-opening knives are 80 % of All Knives Sold
