Holy Data... Massive Ammo Test

If you're into shooting and especially if you carry concealed - this is pretty awesome.

Lucky Gunner just launched a huge data dump of ballistic test results. 117 handgun rounds in 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP and 380 ACP.

That's my 9mm Federal HST up above. It did pretty well but some of the results, like the Golden Saber stuff seemed to perform better than I would've expected.

There is a slow-motion video for each round that's good eye candy too - even though I'm not sure technically what it's supposed to show me.

If you get a chance and you're into guns, I'd definitely recommend checking out the whole post. They have some tables that are pretty helpful at the bottom of this page.

Sounds like 9mm ammo at AmmoMan.com for $.16 per round. Not bad in an ammo can.

I tried to get on the FTC website for work today.

You've probably heard about the asinine shutdown of websites going on.

Well, now you can count me as a victim. You have got to be kidding me.

But, just like the Russians, I have a plan to get around Obama.

Drone Hunting Education

The way things are going, I fully expect some folks to start offering classes here closer to home.

From the AP:

Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guards paramilitary units plan to teach drone-hunting to school students.  Iranian hardliners have long sought a larger role for the military in the country's education system. Students at both junior and senior high schools currently take courses focusing on "civil defense.  Iran captured a U.S. RQ-170 Sentinel drone in 2011 after it entered Iranian airspace. Since then, Tehran says it has seized more U.S. drones, including a Boeing-designed ScanEagle.

This is scary for my 9 to 5. Software that tracks your eye movement and can tell your boss (or big brother) when you're gazing at something you shouldn't be.

You may have seen the commercial for that new Samsung phone. It pauses if you're watching a video and have to turn away. Creepy, right?

At the same time the Egyptian military brutally beat threw a beat-down on Muslim Brotherhood protesters in Egypt, the White House Twitter feed made sure you got wind of this important statement.

Egypt was/is in a state of emergency.

It's cool, Biden had a photo-op with a camel.
